Notes:

The volumes entitled "Original Dutch Documents" were compiled at a later date from several original volumes with different page sizes and pagination. The records were rebound possibly twice or more in their history, probably in the 1850s when they were translated, and again in the 1930s by the WPA. It is unknown when the original volumes were disturbed. English translations have been published in the "Records of New Amsterdam," edited by Berthold Fernow (1897). This book is the fifth volume of the English Mayor's Court, however the records switch between Dutch and English, depending on who is in court.
