Notes:
The volumes entitled "Original Dutch Records" were compiled at a later date from several original volumes with different page sizes and pagination. The Dutch records were rebound possibly twice or more in their history, probably in the 1850s when they were translated, and again in the 1930s by the WPA. It is unknown when the original volumes were disturbed. This section would probably have originally been the 4th book of court records, and follows chronologically from the books in volume 1. English translations have been published in the "Records of New Amsterdam," edited by Berthold Fernow (1897).
